Delhi, from Tropical Paradise to Floral Paradise

Delhi Township is built on geological materials that reveal its prehistory of climate ranging from tropical to arctic.

We have world-famous marine fossils under our feet, not to mention our hilly landscape carved by glacial-age streams and ice dams.

Our wonderful hills provide us with views of the river, but also the same hills are involved with landslides, a legacy from glaciers in our not-too-distant past.

Dr. Meg Riestenberg, professor emerita at Mount Saint Joseph University, delves into our home town’s geology and its impact on our lives today.
